BV ready for NCAA tourney

The Buena Vista men will open the NCAA division three tournament at home Thursday against Illinois College. Coach Brian Van Haaften’s team is 25-3 overall and fresh off a fourth Iowa Conference title in seven years. He says they’re just happy to be in again, as it’s a goal to play in and do well in the tournament. Van Haaften says their success in the national tournament in the past has set the bar higher. He says they’ve played well for a month and he thinks they can keep playing well.
