A man who did time for a sex crime committed in western Iowa two decades ago is back in jail, charged with a sex crime in eastern Iowa. A Davenport man who served four years in prison back in the ’80s on a sex abuse charge is behind bars this morning, charged with flashing a seven-year-old girl who lived next door to his home in Davenport. Police say he staged his performance on his porch as the girl played in the snow, with her mother. Fifty-six-year-old Rudolph Punteney was convicted of second degree sex abuse in 1984 in Pottawattamie County. He served four years on his 25 year sentence before being paroled in 1988. Punteney’s name is on the state’s sex offender registry, and police say he doesn’t have a job.
