The girlfriend of a Jones County man accused of killing two people with his semi on a California highway in January has been sentenced to 120 days in jail for child endangerment. 40-year-old Teresa Wood of Wyoming, Iowa, also got five years probation yesterday in superior court in Glen County, California. Prosecutors said Wood’s son and daughter and the driver’s son were all in the cab during the incident. No trial date’s been set yet for the driver, 34-year-old Frederick Goody, who’s charged with second-degree murder, vehicular manslaughter and child endangerment. Police say two California residents died on Interstate 5 about 85 miles north of Sacramento, after Goody had allegedly been using methamphetamine in the cab of his truck and after an argument with Wood, he ran down a car in front of him.
