The world’s largest Cheeto has arrived in Iowa. Pursuing the Cheeto over the Internet was the brainchild of KLGA announcer Bryan Wilson, who found it for sale on E-Bay, the Internet auction site. When he tried to raise money to buy the Cheeto, its owner agreed to send it to Algona and requested the money be given to a charity. Frito-Lay, manufacturer of Cheetos, has gotten into the act and will pledge money to that charity, the local food bank, and also donated items that will be auctioned off Thursday night. Until then, the snack food’s in a safe-deposit box awaiting its big unveiling at a local restaurant.
