If you think the presidential campaign has been suspended because of the war, think again. Two democrats who’re seeking their party’s presidential nomination will be in Iowa this weekend, campaigning. Over past months, Missouri Congressman Dick Gephardt and former Vermont Governor Howard Dean have had different views on the war. Gephardt has repeatedly said military action was necessary to remove Saddam Hussein, while Dean has been an outspoken critic of war. Both Dean and Gephardt will speak privately Sunday afternoon with a gathering of Iowa union leaders. Gephardt leaves afterwards, but Dean stays on for another day of campaigning.
