An Oelwein man faces attempted murder charges after two stabbings. Police were called to the hospital for a man who was critically injured in an alley near an Oelwein bar. Police later arrest 33-year-old Timothy Warthan of Oelwein and charged him with two counts of attempted murder, and going armed with intent. Police say Warthan assualted a 27-year-old man with a knife who was treated and released from the hospital. Police haven’t released his name. The other victim, 26-year-old Joshua Meike is listed in critical condition. Warthan is being held in the Fayette County jail in West Union.
