Centerville teacher faces sex abuse charge

A Centerville elementary teacher is accused of sexually abusing a student. Police say 49-year-old Timmy Wray Higbee sexually abused a single student over a dozen times in his classroom at Garfield Elementary school the past two months. Higbee is from Centerville and has taught at the school for eight years. His arrest followed an investigation that began earlier this month. He’s currently being held on a $487,000 bond in the Appanoose County Jail.
