Governor Tom Vilsack says he’s “disappointed” by revelations about Iowa State men’s basketball coach Larry Eustachy’s activities at an all-night drinking party after a game in Missouri.Vilsack says he’s sure that Eustache “is very embarassed today, as he should be.” Vilsack says Eustachy has “let a lot of people down, and he’s going to have to deal with that. Vilsack says Eustachy is a public person who is a role model for youth.Vilsack says “rightly or wrongly, they look up to folks in positions of power” and Vilsack says Eustachy would probably be the first to admit he didn’t live up to that responsibility. Vilsack says Eustachy has “some apologizing to do” and Vilsack guesses Eustachy has done quite a bit of it already. The Des Moines Register today printed photos of Eustachy with Missouri co-eds and details of what happened at a party in Columbia earlier this year.
