A state report finds evidence of wrongdoing by the Webster County Sheriff and criminal charges are being considered. The state attorney general’s office is expected to decide soon about filing charges against Webster County’s top lawman. A state Auditor’s Office report says 63-year-old Sheriff Charles Griggs spent more than ten-thousand dollars in county money on personal items, including razors, a DVD player, watches, steaks and two George Foreman grills. Griggs has been sheriff since 1980 and has made no comment on the auditor’s report.
