A utilities analyst says Midwesterners should expect to pay higher electric bills this summer, but Bryan Spratt says it won’t be because of a heat wave.Regardless of the weather, Spratt says he’d anticipate much higher power prices for the remainder of the summer, for no other reason than just simply natural gas being much higher than it’s been historically. Spratt says natural gas prices drive electricity prices because natural gas is used to meet extra summer demand.
