Real-life tractors are chugging around northeast Iowa’s Dubuque County today as part of a celebration of the much-smaller toy versions. The 18th annual Summer Farm Toy Show opened this morning in Dyersville. One organizer, Annie Reitzler, says there’s something new this year: The first annual tractor ride is a 40-mile adventure across western Dubuque County, involving more than 100 tractors. Reitzler says the toy show itself will draw hundreds of collectors and enthusiasts from all across the nation. Free admission is being offered this weekend at the National Farm Toy Museum. There’s also a tractor parade Saturday at 6:30 PM. The farm toy show ends Sunday.
