Another deadline for the Iowa Games summer sports festival is looming. Wednesday is the deadline for entering the youth soccer competition. Executive Director Jim Hallihan says that includes the under-8 division to the 16-and-under competition, though a late entry may be accepted. He says they may be able to take some late teams depending on the entries. Hallihan says most of the soccer teams are able to get the forms in on time. As he said in the previous cut, if you cannot get your team registered by today, call the Iowa Games office and they will try to work something out. Youth soccer used to be their biggest event but Hallihan says in recent years there have been more tournaments to choose from.Ames will host the Iowa Games July 18th through the 20th.
