Iowa State has agreed to move its football game with Missouri to the Saturday after Thanksgiving to accommodate A-B-C television. The contest was originally scheduled for November first but will now be played on the 29th and becomes the regular season finale for both teams. Cyclone coach Dan McCarney feels it’s a win-win situation for the program. It is another chance for television exposure and means November first becomes an off-day in the middle of a tough Big-12 slate. It is Iowa State’s third game designated for television, and 80 percent of the country will see the game. McCarney says the shift in dates had been in the works for a while. McCarney feels it will be a good game to have on television. He says it’ll be Gary Pinkle’s best team since he’s been there. Iowa State’s season opener is August 30th against Northern Iowa.
