A 10-year-old Jesup boy credited with inventing a device to help his handicapped brother walk appeared this (Tuesday) morning on the ABC-TV show “Good Morning America.” Luke Bader is credited with developing a “walk-along’ device to help his four-year-old brother Joseph. The invention includes two plastic pipes with fittings, padding and attachments on each end that lets Luke fasten one end of the pipes to his legs, the other to Joseph’s legs. When Luke walks, Joseph’s legs make similar movements, strengthening his muscles and teaching him the mechanics of walking. The boys and their parents, Lee and Deb Bader, flew to New York Monday to be on today’s program.
