A northeast Iowa man was killed in a head-on crash in Buchanan County. The accident happened Sunday afternoon on a county road west of Winthrop. The state patrol says a pickup truck driven by 19-year-old Lucas Sizemore of Winthrop crossed the center line and collided with an on-coming vehicle driven by 45-year-old Michael Dunn of Center Point. Dunn was taken to an Independence hospital where he was declared dead. Sizemore was taken to a Waterloo hospital. The accident is still under investigation and charges are pending.
