A fire at a farm in northeast Iowa destroyed hundreds of pigs. Authorities are looking for the cause of a blaze that killed hundreds of pigs at a farm. They were called out about six Wednesday evening to a confinement building just northof Manchester owned by John Lane. Fire crews fought the blaze for about five hours but couldn’t save the enarly 700 pregnant sows. No humans were hurt. The cause is under investigation, but Manchester fire chief Jack Klaus says it does not look suspicious.
