The Bush Administration is encountering resistance after seeking a United Nations resolution to get more countries to send troops to Iraq, and now, may not pursue a Security Council resolution after all. Iowa Congressman Tom Latham says it’s important the U.S. continue to try and resolve the continuing conflict in Iraq as peacefully as possible and provide leadership.Latham says people have to remember that the majority of Iraqi’s support the coalition’s mission.Latham says people need to remember that the mission is not over in Iraq and there will be more casualties, related and non-related to combat, to come before the coalition’s goals are met.The American death toll in Iraq rose to 139 after a soldier was killed in a bombing northwest of Baghdad on Tuesday.
