B-V QB wins conference honor

Buena Vista quarterback Eric Wiebers is the Iowa Conference player of the week. The Denison native threw for 238-yards and four touchdowns in BV’s 37-34 double overtime victory over Gustavus Adolphus. Buena Vista coach Steve Osterberger who says Wiebers has become the leader of the offense and made some things happen in the game. Osterberg says Wiebers is only a sophomore, so they’re excited to see how he’s going to improve throughout the year. The Beavers open Iowa Conference play on Saturday against Central College.
