A doctor in the Iowa Great Lakes area is charged with fraud and theft, though investigating officers are tight-lipped about the case. Two search warrants resulted in the arrest of an Okoboji chiropractor. Police from Spirit Lake say they worked with cops from Arnold’s Park, Okoboji, the Dickinson County Sheriff’s department and U.S. postal inspectors before arresting 53-year-old William Hargit and charging him with second-degree theft by deception, forgery and altering records. Police say a complaint about fraud started their investigation, which led to a search of the doctor’s home and office and is still continuing.
