A Storm Lake man faces several charges after an alleged drunken driving spree that damaged both vehicles and homes. Police were dispatched to a house in Storm Lake where officers found a truck in the backyard with 47-year-old Adrian Ramirez still in the vehicle. Cops determined Ramirez was intoxicated, and seized a knife tucked in his pants before taking him into custody. Police say Ramirez backed out of a driveway and struck a car parked in the street. He then pulled back into the driveway and hit a car parked there, pushing that car into the house. Ramirez backed up again and hit another car in another driveway. Ramirez kept driving, and pushed that car into a truck, which then broke through a wall in a garage. Ramirez then went back across the street, and hit the house where he’d started. Police say Ramirez caused well over 20-thousand dollars worth of damage to vehicles and homes. He’s been charged with drunken driving, driving without a license, careless driving and operating the truck without the owner’s consent. He was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon since he had that knife tucked in his pants.
