The Iowa Hawkeyes will try to accomplish what only eight other Hawkeye teams have done at that’s win nine games. The Hawkeyes take an 8-3 record on the road to Wisconsin looking for their first Big Ten win away from home after going 4-0 on the road last season.Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz says they’ve done it before, they’re just going to have to play their best game to do it this time. Wisconsin is coming off a 56-14 win over Michigan State and Ferentz says Badger quarterback Jim Sorgi is playing his best football right now. He says the offensive line has gotten better too and that’s helped, along with Sorgi’s experience.Ferentz says as a team the Badgers are peaking right now after playing through some injuries.Still in search of their first Big-12 win the Iowa State Cyclones play their final two games of the season on the road beginning with tomorrow’s visit to Kansas. The Cyclones are 2-8 and have lost eight straight games. The Jayhawks are 5-6 and with a win would become eligible for a bowl game. Cyclone coach Dan McCarney who says the Jayhawks have made major strides under second-year coach Mark Mangino and will be a very hungry and focused team. McCarney says they have a lot to play for even though now their role is the spoiler.The Cyclones will be trying to protect winning streaks of three over Kansas and four over Missouri in the last two games. McCarney says that’s very important.
