Rolfe school closed over structural concerns

A school in northwest Iowa’s Pocahontas County has been closed because of safety concerns. Students at the Rolfe middle school were herded into the gym due to fears of structural problems. Many bricks were discovered missing from the south wall of the school, which was built in 1917. A report from the state fire marshal prompted the closure in the middle of the school day. Some 190 students are now being bused to school in the Pocahontas area.
