The Waterloo Black Hawks will look to clinch a playoff berth tonight as they host Des Moines in U-S-H-L play. Heading into the final weekend of the regular season the Hawks need just one more point to secure a spot in the Clark Cup playoffs. If Waterloo qualifies to the playoffs it will be the first time in franchise history that the team has been in the playoffs two consecutive seasons. This is also the first time in team history that Waterloo has recorded back to back winning seasons.Black Hawks coach P.K. O’Handley says Des Moines has been one of the hotter teams in the U-S-H-L the second half of the season. O’Handley knows the Bucs will provide a challenge for the Hawks this evening.After tonight’s game, the Black Hawks will wrap up their season with a road game at Green Bay tomorrow and then conclude the regular season Sunday night at St. Louis.
