You don’t have to be a highly influential politician to dine at the Governor’s mansion. The Terrace Hill Foundation is offering a series of Victorian era dinners as a fundraiser for the historic site. Spokesperson Alissa McKinney says the dinners are 75-dollars per person. She says it’s a five to six-course Victorian dinner with win and music. McKinney says a Victorian dinner isn’t the same as sitting around the table today. She says the difference is the way they serve the food with different courses, always having a seafood course, a beef course, a dessert course. While today’s dinners might be a prelude to another event, McKinney says Victorian dinners stand on their own. She says the courses are served very slow, and the dinner is an event. Dinners this year are, April 16th, June 25th, September 24th and December 17th. All dinners will begin at 7:00 p.m. For more information, call the Terrace Hill Foundation at 515-280-3980.
