Police are looking for suspects after a Waterloo cabbie was shot while on the job early yesterday morning. 53-year-old Daniel Holtkamp of Cedar Falls drove a passenger to Common Joe’s Bar to collect a fare from another person in the bar. As he approached the bar, two people with large-caliber handguns fired on the cab. Holtkamp was struck by a bullet and drove himself to the Waterloo police station and was taken to a Waterloo hospital. No one else was injured. Holtkamp’s injury was not thought to be life threatening.
