The streak of record earnings reports continues at Winnebago Industries. The Forest City-based motor home manufacturer is reporting record revenues for the third quarter ending May 29th of just over 310-million dollars, an increase of 55-percent when compared to a year ago. Those are pleasing numbers to Winnebago chairman and CEO Bruce Hertzke.Hertzke is pleased that Winnebago’s numbers continue to be strong with gas and diesel prices spiking in the just-completed quarter.Hertzke says even though gas prices are high people are still traveling. They may pay a little more to travel now but he says they have to pay more if they fly too.Hertzke attributes a lot of Winnebago’s success to the 2004 line of products available to the consumer.Hertzke is looking forward to a new line of Winnebago products to be put on the market for the 2005 model year. He says having a variety of products available has been successful for Winnebago.Hertzke says Winnebago is number one overall in the industry and has moved up to number three in diesel.Revenues from continuing operations for the first nine months of fiscal 2004 were a record 831-point-two million dollars, a 34-percent increase compared to 619-point-five million for the first nine months of fiscal 2003. Winnebago also announced this week their ninth stock repurchase program, authorizing the purchase of outstanding shares of the company’s common stock for an aggregate price of up to 30-million.
