A car crash early yesterday in southeast Iowa claimed a life. Authorities say 21-year-old Alicia Hoffman of Fairfield was killed about 4 A.M. Sunday when she lost control of her vehicle on State Highway 16 and crashed in a ditch in Van Buren County near Douds. Hoffman was thrown from the vehicle in the accident.
