The class 2A semifinals are set at the state high school softball tournament. Josie Barrow tossed a four-hitter and scored the winning run on an infield single in the sixth as Woodward-Granger battled a two hour rain delay and upset third ranked Underwood 2-1. Barrow says the Hawks focused on how to get runs off Underwood pitcher Megan Brue.Nicole Henderson slammed a homer over the centerfield fence as Albia claimed an 8-2 victory over North Fayette in their first appearance at state.Albia coach Larry Achenbach felt his team did a good job of handling the lengthy delay.
