Authorities are searching for a northeast Iowa man who’s been missing for a week. Officials spent yesterday combing southeast Black Hawk County looking for 60-year-old Lee Rowley of Cedar Falls. Rowley reserved a campsite at McFarlane Park near La Porte City on July 29th and disappeared the next morning. A park ranger says Rowley went to town to get a bicycle part and hasn’t been seen since. His tent, personal belongings and dog were left at the campsite. Authorities say Rowley uses his bicycle as a means of transportation and often pulls his dog in a trailer behind the bike. Friends have told police it’s unusual Rowley left his dog uncared for without telling others. Officials say there is no evidence of foul play. Sheriff’s deputies searched bike paths and areas surrounding the park, but turned up no clues in his disappearance.
