Iowa State coach Dan McCarney accepts any criticism from Cyclone fans in their start to the Big-12 race. ISU is 0-2 in league play after a 34-3 loss to Texas A@M and they have now lost 12 straight Big 12 games heading into this week’s visit to Colorado. McCarney says he doesn’t hide from people whether they won big or lost big. He says he just tries to be a coach players, coaches and fans can be proud of, and he says he knows one of the way to make people proud is to win. He says he plans on working on that in the coming weeks. McCarney still feels good about his team, as he says in the first three weeks of the season there was no doubt they got better. He says in the last two games there’ve been questions about whether they’ve improved over last year. McCarney says he believes they can and will be better.McCarney says the Cyclones must limit their mistakes by eliminating mental errors, especially on defense. He says they can’t make the same mistakes they made Saturday and win Big 12 games.
