The Iowa State Cyclones will try to use the off week to heal up and prepare for a stretch run they hope will carry them to the Big-12 championship game. The Cyclones are 3-3 in the Big-12 after a victory over Nebraska. With wins in their final two games against Kansas State and Missouri, Dan McCarney’s Cyclones would claim the North Division title. He says they’ve clearly improved in the last month and he says the team sees the improvement and the morale is good and the football is fun. McCarney says the Cyclones are excited about what can be accomplished. He says they know they have two “unbelieveably tough” challenges ahead, but he says it’s fun to go beyond expectations. McCarney says a spot in the Big-12 championship game is where every team wants to find themselves. He says it’s everyone’s dream as he says this is the premiere conference in the country.The Cyclones are 5-4 overall.
