The UNI men opened the basketball season with an 84-66 victory over Wayne Styate Sunday night in Cedar Falls. Junior guard Eric Crawford led the way with 20-points.Crawford on the post-game show on the UNI Sports Network says he played okay and made some shots. He says he needs to work more on defense. He said it was a good test for the opener.UNI visits Cincinatti on Wednesday night. Erin Dohrmann connected on a three-pointer from the right wing with one second remaining to lift the Drake women’s basketball team to a 52-51 victory in its home opener Sunday.
