The Iowa Agriculture Innovation Center is asking you to choose gifts from the state during a holiday show this weekend. Center Executive Director Pat Paustian says the show is at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. She says it’s the first year they’ve done something like this and are excited about it. Paustian says you can find a gift for someone in Iowa, or someone that’s moved out, but misses the state. She says they have quite an assortment of products from different kinds of meat, honey, salsa and soy candles. She says it’s free to go and browse. She says there are 30 vendors and it’s in the cattle building of the fairgrounds. It’ll be open Saturday and Sunday from nine in the morning until five in the evening. There’s also a chance to get something free. She says the vendors have each donated something for a 150-dollar food basket that will be given away in a drawing. Paustian says a photo station will also be set up to take digital photos of people in front of a holiday tree.
