The 23rd ranked Iowa Hawkeyes play eight of their next nine games at home beginning with tonight’s matchup with Centenary in the opening round of their own tournament. The other first round game pits North Carolina-Greensboro against a southern Mississippi team led by former Iowa State coach Larry Eustachy. Iowa coach Steve Alford says this will be a demanding classic with several athletic teams.Center Eric Hansen will return to the line-up tonight after sitting out Tuesday night’s win at Drake with a bruised hip. While Hasen is off to a good start it has been a struggle for junior college forward Doug Thomas and Alford says foul trouble has been the major reason. Thomas played only nine minutes at Drake after picking up two quick fouls. Alford says he’s been playing well, he’s just been in foul trouble and they’re not getting to see their ability.The winners and the losers of tonight’s games matchup on Saturday night.
