A 400-thousand dollar donation from an Iowa couple will fund a new interactive exhibit at the Iowa State Fair. Iowa State Fair Foundation spokesperson Jennifer Carver says the new will be part of the new fair museum that’s being built. She says the goal for the display is to have people enter the museum and when they leave, they’ll have a knowledge of what the fair has been about for the last 150 years. Ronald and Margaret Kenyon, the owners of a West Des Moines construction company donated the money for the interactive display. Carver says the interactive exhibit uses technology to teach the history of the fair. She says there’ll be places where you can judge livestock and pick the top four winners. She says there’ll also be interactive displays showing pictures and images of the last 150 years. Carver says the new museum will also help protect some of the old collections from the fair. She expects the new museume and interactive display to be a hit.He says,”This is going to be one of the biggest attractions at this year’s fair, it’s really going to be a place to take the whole family to see what the fair’s been about.” Carver says the new interactive exhibit will be ready for this year’s Iowa State Fair in August.
