A southwest Iowa man was killed early this morning when his vehicle rolled several times off Interstate 29, south of Council Bluffs. The Iowa State Patrol says 49-year old Danny Mark Malone, of Tabor, was northbound on the interstate when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving. The vehicle slid sideways into the east ditch and rolled several times, coming to rest upright on a fence line. Malone — who was not wearing a seatbelt — was partially ejected from the vehicle as it rolled. Rescue workers transported him to Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, where he was pronounced dead. Troopers say his 2005 Chevy Colorado was totalled in the wreck, that occurred just north of mile marker 45 on I-29, at 4:51-a.m.
