The Iowa Hawkeye women open the Big Ten Tournament tonight in Indianapolis against Michigan. The Hawks are the sixth seed and stand 19-8 overall after an 8-8 finish in the Big Ten race. Coach Lisa Bluder is confident her team will play in the NCAA Tournament but says she will feel even better if they can get by the Wolverines. She says she thinks they have one “bad loss” on their resume, the Wisconsin game, and says a loss to Michigan would be another. She says they don’t want to have that on their resume.Bluder says a loss would hurt their chances. She says if it were all done today she thinks they’d be in. Michigan is 5-22.
