West-central Iowa fire and law-enforcement agencies are asking for the public’s help in solving what they say was an arson fire Sunday morning in Carroll. It was about three a.m. when Carroll’s volunteer fire department was called to a blaze at a building where portable toilets were stored. The fire destroyed 61 of them, worth an estimated $30,000. An investigation determined the fire was deliberately set. Nobody was injured. Anyone with a tip can call Carroll Fire Department or the state fire marshall’s office.
