UNI football coach Mark Farley wants to limit the risk of injury but says much of the action during spring drills will be live. The Panthers are a week away from their first formal scrimmage and Farley says full contact will be common. He says they’ve told the players the only person who won’t be in a live situation is Eric Sanders the starting quarterback. Farley says they have to have everyone else hitting so they can truly see how they compete for their positions. The main concern for the Panthers this spring is finding depth at fullback, tight end and in the defensive secondary.
