Iowa baseball coach Jack Dahm says his team has learned how to win and the Hawkeyes will look to continue their winning ways this weekend when they host Indiana in a four-game Big Ten series. Iowa has won four straight, six of its last seven and stands 5-3 in conference play after taking three of four at Michigan last weekend.Dahm says they’ve grown up and shown some character. Iowa got off to a slow start against a tough non-conference schedule but Dahm says the confidence level is growing. He says they now expect to win games even if they’re down four or five games. He says early on they let one mistake lead into four or five mistakes and they’d give up a big inning.Indiana is just 2-6 in the league race but the Hoosiers lead the Big Ten in nearly every offensive category. He says that’s their biggest concern, slowing down their offense. Dahm says Indian is going to hit, but hopefully they can limit those hits to singles. There is still a long way to go but Dahm says the 5-3 start has the Hawkeyes thinking about a top six finish and a trip to the conference tournament. He says their goal is to get better every day and if they do that, they can make a run at the tournament. The series begins Friday night with a single game.
