Dump truck blows tire, plows through Monona County home

A Monona County family is starting the week with a big spring cleanup job after a dump truck ran through their home. Investigators says the accident Friday occurred when the truck blew a tire while traveling along a residential street in Turin. Police say the blown tire damaged the truck’s brake line, causing the driver to lose control with the vehicle crashing through a home owned by Lind Broer. No one was home at the time, but the main living area including the kitchen, living room, bathroom and closet were demolished. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries, but refused medical treatment.
