The UNI baseball team will take on nationally ranked Nebraska tonight in Des Moines. The Panthers and Cornhuskers will meet at Principal Park, home of the Iowa Cubs. Panther coach Rick Heller explained how the game was set up to be played in Des Moines. Heller says they’ve gone to Nebraska a couple of times but they were hesitant to come to Waterloo, but was willing to come to Des Moines.Heller expects both teams to have a good turnout of fans, as he says they have a lot of alumni.The Panthers have dropped eight of their last eleven but Heller still feels his team can turn things around. He says it’s been a rough stretch against some good competition, but he says they’ve fought through it and are playing hard. UNI is 14-20 on the year. Nebraska is 31-7.
