A northwest Iowa man is dead after crashing a skid loader into a pond. The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office says 61-year old Daniel Karl Peterson of Cherokee was killed around 5 o’clock Thursday evening. Deputies say he was digging a pond when the bank gave way. The Bobcat fell into the pond and landed upside down killing Peterson Authorities say they’re still investigating the fatal accident.
