The last installment in the Star Wars saga took in 158-and-a-half million dollars nationwide during its opening weekend, and Iowa fans were among those flocking to see the flick. Some die hard fans stood in long lines and some even skipped out on work to see the first showings of “Revenge of the Sith.” Chris Bornhoeft’s boss let him skip work to go to the movie.”He knows exactly where I am,” Bornhoeft says. “He’s my dad.” Jennifer Northcutt told her co-workers she was leaving the office early to stand in line for the “Revenge of the Sith.” “They all completely made fun of me for it, too,” she says. Darren Smith also left work early to stand in line for tickets. “Ducked out about 30 minutes early, said ‘See you later’ to my supervisor and just sped on over,” Smith says. Smith jokingly describes himself as a diehard Star Wars fan. “After I see this movie, I’ll probably just end it all,” he says, with a laugh. “I’ve seen it all. I might as well just end my life. That’s the end of it, right there.”
