Summer camps for high school basketball teams have been available for several years now but the “team camp” model has now crossed over to the sport of wrestling. Loras College in Dubuque is one of the school’s that will offer a team wrestling camp this summer. Chris Speziale is a Loras assistant coach and is serving as camp director. He says it gives teams chances to learn together different types of training and technique. He says it is also open to coaches who can come for free if they bring 10 or more kids. Speziale says this camp is designed for wrestlers at the junior high level and above. Spezuiale says campers will get instruction on fundamentals and plenty of competition. He says they hope to get seven or eight dual meets plus a tournament at the end. It is the first time Loras has offered a team camp. It runs July 31st through August fourth
