A Hopkinton man and wife are facing lots of prison time after being convicted on drug charges. 37-year-old Johnny Ray McAttee was convicted in U.S. District Court of attempting to manufacture more than 50 grams of methamphetamine, and possession of pseudoephedrine and red phosphorus knowing it would be used to make meth. McAtee has previously been convicted of conspiracy to make meth in 1998 and possession of red phosphorus with the intent to make meth in 2002. Under the federal three-strikes your out law, McAttee now faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole, and fines of up to eight million dollars. His wife, 35-year-old Jodi McAtee had pleaded guilty to unlawful re-entry into the United States from Canada, and conspiracy to manufacture meth. She faces 20 years in prison on the immigration charge and life on the drug charge.
