Union workers at the Electrolux plant in Webster City will vote soon on a new contract offer. Terms of the labor contract will be revealed to the rank-and-file members of the United Auto Workers tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon in a meeting in Webster City. Workers will then vote and the results are expected to be announced late Thursday. On June 11th, union members rejected a contract offered by Electrolux management, but continued to work under the terms of the previous agreement. Electrolux is Hamilton County’s largest employer. The 19-hundred-50 workers at the Webster City Electrolux plant make appliances that bear the brand names of Kenmoore, White Westinghouse and Frigidaire.
