Wendelsdorf found guilty of drug charges

A federal jury has reached a verdict in a drug case from northwest Iowa. Guilty. That’s the verdict in the Jesse Wendelsdorf drug case in federal court in Sioux City. U.S. Attorney Charles Larsen Senior says the 30-year-old Spirit Lake man was convicted on the charge of conspiracy to make meth and distribute more than five grams of the drug. He was acquitted on a charge of conspiracy to maintain a house for drug crimes, and distributing more than fifty grams of a meth mixture. Sentencing will be scheduled at a later date. Wendelsdorf faces a prison term of five to forty years and fines up to two-Million dollars, and he’ll face at least four years of supervised release following any imprisonment.
