Investigators are continuing to search for clues in the July murder of a five-year-old Floyd County girl. Investigators with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and Floyd County Sheriff’s Office spent several hours Wednesday at the apartment complex where Evelyn Miller lived with her mother Noel Miller, her mother’s fiancé Casey Fredericksen, and her two younger brothers before she disappeared on July 1st. Officers took swabs from a carpet found in a garage, photographed a car parked outside the garage, and examined several pieces of what appeared to be hunting clothing. Floyd County officials are still remaining tight-lipped about the investigation, not giving any details about how and when Miller was killed. No arrests have been made in the case.
