Investigators have once again visited the home of the mother of a slain five- year-old Floyd County girl and her fiancé. Investigators from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and Federal Bureau of Investigation visited Noel Miller and Casey Frederickson in Charles City, and also questioned neighbors about the possibility of children being left alone in their home. Noel Miller is the mother of five- year-old Evelyn Miller, who went missing on July 1st from her family’s home in Floyd and was later found dead in the Cedar River. People who live in the neighborhood say investigators walked from house to house Monday night asking questions. Noel Miller told a Cedar Rapids television station that police were at the house because a neighbor filed a false complaint about children being left alone in her home…but the same neighbors say their call to police was not a false report. Floyd County Attorney Marilyn Dettmer says authorities are questioning the neighbors as part of the investigation process.
